Miles of fun-filled four wheeling can be found in
Southwest Wisconsin. The Cheese Country
Recreational Trail boasts 47 miles of improved,

surface consists of mainly flat, dry, level riding,
following the former Milwaukee Railroad grade that

The trail is appropriately named after the
approximately 30 cheese factories in Lafayette,
Green and Iowa counties, producing large quantities
of cheeses such as Swiss, Muenster and Limburger.
The Pecatonica Trail
Offers approximately 15 miles of shared used trail
along an abandoned railroad grade from Calamine,
where it connects with the Cheese Country Trail,

St Joe State park The most distinctive feature of St. Joe
State Park is the 2,000 acres of riding area for
off-road vehicle (ORV) use. Trails wind through the
wooded portions of the park, as well as through 800
acres of sand flats, an area created by the
sand like residue - or tailings - from the lead
mining process. Signs clearly mark the boundaries
of the ORV area, and all off-road vehicles must
stay within these boundaries at all times. A
staging area is available for parking and unloading
vehicles. Snowmobiles are permitted during the
winter months. For the convenience of ORV users, a
campground is located near the riding area with 15
electric and 35 basic sites. All campsites are
available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Laundry facilities, modern restrooms, hot showers,
a playground and a dumping station are located in
the camping area. A trail from the campground to
the ORV area provides access for unlicensed ORV's
that are not permitted on park roads.

Kentucky's
Land Between the Lakes, Turkey Bay OHV
Area.
2500 Acers!! This place is the best. Hills that go
on forever and rocks all over. right on the lake.
You have got to go there it's great. When you go
there stay at the Ken Oaks Resort Cottages http://www.kenoakresort.com/main.htm
This is a family owned and operated place and they
have lots of room for your rig and trailer. The
prices are low and the cottages are very nice, and I wouldn't stay any other place when I'm in the
area. http://www2.lbl.org/lbl/OHVTrails.html

allows you download PDF images of the trail systems. I
can't say how much I really like this site and they way they have
marked out each trail system. They also provide on the maps
all the trial heads, campgrounds, and places to get gas and food.
So look them up at there website.

Silver Lake State Park Silver Lake, Nice place to ride. Open to
ATVs, Bikes, trucks, jeeps, sand rails, MONSTER
TRUCKS, etc. etc. Located in "Mears", about 1/2 way
between Muskegon and Ludington on the map. It is
One of the Premier areas for hitting the dunes on
the east coast. The park is approximately 400 acres of
sand dunes. The terrain is varying. BIG dunes,
Bowls, Flat areas. Flags are required and MUST meet
their requirements. The park is RIGHT on the lake.
You can ride hard all morning, take a picnic lunch
onto the beach, swim in the lake to cool off, then
hit the dunes again. This place is really popular,
and parking is limited. They now have a system in
place to control the traffic coming into the park.
You are assigned a time in which you can show up to
enter the park. I also heard that beginning in
2002, they may begin checking the db level of each
exhaust. Drive towards Mears, and then follow the
signs. You cant miss it. You can purchase state
stickers at the park, and flags across the street
at a place called "Apple tree". The park is
seasonal, it's not open all year around. Call for
more info....616-873-3083.
